Adjusting The Pixels Using Photoshop Elements

-Tone Tone related to the full range of grays present in the scale from the blackest black to the purest white. For a tranquil appeal, its best to aim for low-contrast. To emphasis extremes, opt for a high contrast effect.

Affordable Touch Screen Phone

There are a multitude of touch screen phones available. One of the most popular touch screen phones is the iPhone. While it is sought after by many people, it isn't very affordable. Others would like an equally capable touch screen phone but at a reasonable price. With this in mind many cell phone companies have put out more affordable touch screen phones. One such phone is the enV Touch from Verizon Wireless. While the phone may be missing some key functions it is still a worthwhile affordable iPhone alternative.

The LG enV Touch has a great design. It features 2 touch screens, one on the outside and one inside the flip compartment. Each screen can support 1.6 million colors which gives the screens a wonderfully vibrant display. The screen on the face of the phone displays an alphanumeric pad which can be used for dialing or text messaging. Underneath the flip section is a full QWERTY keyboard which is incredibly comfortable to use. The keys are spaced apart well and aren't cramped together. Both touch screens work well but it can take a while to get used to the unique counter intuitive commands. To help with the transition process the phone offers a vibration or noise alert system whenever a touch is correctly registered by the phone.

The phone features a wide array of impressive features. Unfortunately it lacks Wi-Fi. One such feature is the drawing pad. It allows you to actually doodle a picture on the phones touch screen, which can be saved and sent to people stored on the contacts list. The enV Touch utilizes a USB port which many phone users desperately want on a phone. The USB port makes transferring data to and from the phone very simple and quick. The phone also features a full HTML web browser. Surfing the web is quite simple on the phone but again the touch screens odd functionality may impede some of the users out there.

The camera on this phone takes very nice photos. It features a 3.2 megapixel lens. There are a multitude of image control options such as six different resolutions, five white balance presets, three focusing modes, and much more. One of the more notable features is called Facial Makeover mode which removes all the unsightly marks and blemishes such as pimples from a persons face while taking a picture.

The phone has great call quality as well. Callers will sound crystal clear over the phones ear piece. Thankfully the speakerphone works just as well also. Callers will sound clear and will come through without interference through the phones speakers.

The LG enV Touch from Verizon wireless is a good phone. It may be lacking some obvious features and its touch screen can take a while to get accustom to, but the rest of the phones features and great functions more than make up for it. Anyone looking for an affordable phone which ignorable quirks should look no further than this one.

The Dimage Minolta 7X optical zoom provides me a great range between wide angle to telephoto. Due to this wide range, it is possible to make many alternative pictures with this remarkable camera.

Another great feature that intrigued me to the Dimage Minolta was the anti-shake feature. A camera with a great zoom isn't helpful if you can't hold it steady enough to get a great picture. Despite the length of the zoom, the Dimage Minolta camera is amazingly compact and easily fits into my fanny pack which is exactly what I wanted.

Another feature that I think is great about the Dimage Minolta is the adjustable LCD monitor which is much easier to see than the one on my Nikon. This enables you to aim over head or at a low angle and still see what you are shooting at. You can fold the LCD to where it is facing the camera body to protect it and also take photographs by trying the EVF viewfinder. Which permits you to use less battery power.

The Dimage Minolta LCD will also turn absolutely forward so you can do a self portrait by trying the radio control to trip the shutter. The remote may also be Handy for long exposures on a tripod like dim lighting shots. For night shots, it even has noise cancellation to where it will take a 2ND picture with the shutter closed to record any "hot spots" from the pixels and subtract them from the final photo so it is sharper and does not have all those white dots on it. I did this and it took great dim lighting pictures - in reality the Dimage Minolta took the best dim lighting pictures I have gotten with any camera I have owned.

The time between shots it pretty fast. Quicker than my Nikon actually. It has manual or auto focus I used manual with it at infinity for my dim light photos since this like many auto focus cameras can have trouble focusing in low light situations. The macro may be employed at either the wide angle or telephoto ends of the zoom. I have not really tried that yet. Nor have I tried the film format which is claimed to be amazing. There are two resolutions you can use for that.

I thought my tiny Nikon 4mp camera took nice pictures, but the Dimage Minolta blows that away. It is simple enough for a beginner to use it on "Auto" but has enough features to delight most execs too. I already have taken several photographs with this camera. They're extraordinarily crystal clear - from the wide angle through telephoto. This camera fit my wants and then some - with all the options possible that this camera offers. If you are serious about photography and yet want to make it simplistic, the Dimage Minolta is a good camera!

Notice I've not talked about the 8 mega-pixels the Dimage Minolta has. The cause of that is because it wasn't a factor for my purchase and delight for this camera. Four mega-pixels is a lot for most uses particularly since most users won't be making prints larger than eight x 10. But this camera certainly gives you that possibility.

I like this camera! The photo is what the eye sees, and the Dimage Minolta will certainly help you to catch what you see with simplicity. I very highly recommend it!

Another option to printing is digital printing, which is basically another way to describe copying graphics to a page. Try a sample of digital prints and compare them with offset printing. You'll see the difference.

When deciding which stock photo website to use, it is wise to understand the pricing structure and the benefits accordingly. Those selling images at a lower fee to clients are more likely to generate a wider customer base, though higher fee chargers may want exclusivity on images.

Possibly the most popular site is iStockphoto. Hosted by pioneers in the industry, Getty Images, they have a large member and contributor database; and subsequently an impressive stock of images and other materials.

Also very popular is Dreamstime, who sell images on an individual basis. With a higher basic commission of 50%, this is slightly put into perspective by a smaller client base.

These are just two of the leading exponents' in the field, and many more are out there without having to look too far. Others worthy of mention would have to be; BigStockPhoto, ShutterStock, Stockxpert and Fotolia which averages nearly 55% on its commission pay outs.

Black-and-White Photography Tips

Black and white photography was the first form of capturing still photographs just as it was the first form for motion pictures. It wasn't until the mid-twentieth century that color photography first became available. In today's world, color photography is available to everyone. So, with the world being visualized in brilliant color, why then would anyone wish to remove such illumination and use black and white?

This question is slightly difficult to answer as it brings up another question; when to take a black and white photo or when to remove color from a photo using an editing program such as Photoshop.

To simplify is the answer to the above question. This process allows for removal of distracting elements from a photograph, much like blurring the background or enhancing the frame of a photo.

Now that we have found the why to our question, let's explore the when, in other words, what are the three main situations for removing color from a photograph.

# In portraiture - In color, a close-up picture of a person reveals all kinds of distracting details of their face " blemishes, a red nose, uneven skin tones, and so on. Black-and-white photography strips out these details, and this makes it easier for the viewer to concentrate on what the photo reveals about the persons life or personality, which is what portraiture is all about.

# Abstract Fine Art Photography

Abstract Fine Art Photography is the art of capturing shapes and patterns. Using color photography for this art form defeats what the photographer is trying to accomplish as color distracts from the main subject.

In addition, photographers of Abstract Fine Art will often increase the contrast of a photo after removing the color. This is commonly done with the assistance of an editing program.

# Monochromatic Photography - In this situation, black and white usually works best.

This final category is something of a catchall. Spry is Dreamweaver's Ajax solution which uses JavaScript and CSS to add sophisticated interactivity to your web pages. Dreamweaver CS4 includes some useful additions to its existing range of Spry widgets. For example, the Spry Tooltip widget allows you to create a tooltip which will appear when the mouse is placed over the specified text or object. Since the tooltip is inside a DIV element, this offers tremendous flexibility as to the appearance of the tooltip. For example, it could include an image or a Flash movie.

There have also been some nice new additions to the Spry form validation widgets. The Spry Validation Password widget allows you to specify the minimum and maximum number of characters, numbers, uppercase and special characters which can be included in the password entered. The Spry Validation Confirm widget checks that the entries in two fields are identical and displays a customizable error is they are not. This makes it ideal for creating "Password/Confirm Password" or "Email/Confirm Email" functionality.

Access to Related Files

The fact that the image is a smart object means that if we resize it in Dreamweaver, it will automatically be re-optimised and a new version of the image will be generated with the new dimensions. (In previous versions, resizing an image would mean that the browser was responsible for resizing leading to poor image quality.

Related Files

Integration with Adobe Photoshop CS4

Whenever you open a file which contains linked files, Dreamweaver displays each of the linked files in the Related Files Bar. To access a related file just click on its name. If you make any changes to a related file and asterisk appears next to its name in the Related Files Bar to remind you to save your changes. When you do, the impact of the changes is immediately visible in the main file.

New ways to edit CSS

Once the image has been imported, an icon is displayed in the upper left of the image indicating that it is a smart object. Also, in the Property Inspector, the location of the original PSD file is shown in a box marked "Original".

In Dreamweaver CS4, the Property Inspector contains buttons which allow you to switch between HTML and CSS options. When working in the CSS options, you can now target a specific CSS rule before choosing an attribute or, if necessary, create a new rule.

How to Start Photography Portfolio - 3 Steps That Will Cause Your Photography to Pop

Do you have a bunch of good pictures but don't know where to begin construction your photography portfolio? Don't really have an thought of what you should accept and how grand it should be? Which digital camera is best for me is the first question that we all ask ourselves when we are first considering to invest in a digital camera. What are you looking for in a camera?

Well needless to say I started looking online to see what was available and what possible options I had. I came up with more things than I think I could have originally guessed were available. One thing is for sure we really don't live during a period of time that doesn't allow for options.

I knew that I wanted to be able to at least have some creative involvement in how my photos got displayed. I didn't just want them thrown into a pile of photographs that people could choose from.
